Zombies are awesome. This is an undeniable fact of life. User luxray338 understands the need for more zombie diversity in Minecraft, and has come to promote zombie equality with the Zombie Mod.
This mod currently adds three new zombies to the game: the fast zombie, the hooded zombie, and Harold, a boss mob.
Each zombie can be found randomly throughout dungeons or in the overworld. From what I can tell, there is no condition to make any of them spawn more or less than the others. They simply add diversity to the endless stream of zombies that plagues the night.
Without further ado, meet zombie number one: the fast zombie!
Just as the name suggests, this zombie simply runs much more quickly than its lesser green cousin. It also looks twice as creepy.
Meet zombie number two, the hooded zombie:
As if regular zombies weren’t meaty enough already – these zombies have increased health and, due to their dark color scheme, will be more difficult to spot in dark areas.
Meet zombie number three, Harold:
Harold is essentially a mix between a fast zombie and a hooded zombie. He is stronger, faster, and has a really creepy head. I’m not sure if Harold is a reference to another character from some other universe, but he is nonetheless a fearsome presence in the night.
This mod is listed as 100% completed, but more zombies could be added in the future. Stay tuned for updates!

What other types of zombies would you like to see added to this mod? I am envisioning a normal zombie that gets a speed boost whenever it sets on fire – mornings would be a nightmare! Leave your ideas in the comments below.
