I think we can all agree that dying in Minecraft can be extremely frustrating, especially when you have accumulated a large number of experience levels. Only a small fraction of experience points drop when you die, making all of your hard earned work in vain. The XP-Store Bukkit plugin by CarioHD allows you to safely store individual earned levels in glass bottles, preserving them in the event of your untimely death!
This plugin provides another use for glass bottles which, until now, were only used to store water for eventually making potions. To store your XP, simply right-click anywhere (other than water of course) with a bottle equipped and it will store one level:
Each bottle can only store one level, which serves as a balancing mechanic.
Rather than directly consuming the bottled XP, it must be broken on the ground. Bottled XP can be given to other players as well, providing an interesting extra currency.
How to Install XP-Store Plugin for Minecraft 1.7.8/1.7.9
Download the latest version of the XP-Store plugin.
Place the .jar file from step 1 into your game or server’s plugins directory.
Run the game or server and wait for it to fully load.
Restart your Minecraft game or server, or login to your admin account and execute the /reload command.
Run the server or enter a world again. The plugin should be properly loaded.
Aside from using bottled XP to trade, what creative uses can you think of for this plugin? Leave your ideas in the comments below!
