Most of us have fond memories of cartoons growing up.
Whether you watched SpongeBob SquarePants or Bugs Bunny cartoons, you’ll appreciate the Toontown Mod for Minecraft.
The Toontown Mod adds cartoon characters to your game world. The mod is designed to mix the best elements of your favorite cartoons and characters with your Minecraft world.
This mod adds the following TV shows and characters to the game:
Peanuts characters added to the game include Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Snoopy, and Woodstock. Charlie Brown, Linus, and Lucy are all tradable characters, while Snoopy can be tamed and kept as a pet using bones. Snoopy can also be healed with meat. Woodstock, meanwhile, simply flies around and chirps like a bird.
Bugs Bunny and his lifelong foe Elmer Fudd have both been added to the game. Bugs Bunny will follow players around whenever they’re holding carrots. He’ll also drop carrots of his own from time to time. Elmer Fudd – just like Peanuts characters – is a tradable NBC and will drop a rifle. A third Looney Tunes character, Daffy Duck, has also been added to the game and will follow players around when holding bread and will also drop bread of his own.
SpongeBob, Gary the Snail, and Plankton have been added to Minecraft. SpongeBob is a tamable character – simply use Jelly on him. Jelly will also heal SpongeBob. To create Jelly, you’ll first need to catch Jellyfish using the Jellyfishing net before smelting that Jellyfish. Gary the Snail walks around like a cat and meows, while Plankton is a hostile mob who drops the secret Krabby Patty formula.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, and the evil Foot Clan have all been added to Minecraft. Funnily enough, all TMNT will attack Foot Clan members on site, which can make for some entertaining fights breaking out across your Minecraft world. The Foot Clan mob are hostile to both Ninja Turtles and to players. They drop bows and arrows when killed. Players can also trade with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle NPCs.
Both Scaredy Squirrel and his friend Dave have been added to the game. Scaredy Squirrel can be tamed and healed using peanuts and will drop peanuts when he dies – which makes sense. Dave can also be tamed using peanuts and will drop a Skunk Tail when killed. You can use Skunk Tails to make beds.
Winnie the Pooh
Beloved children’s characters Winnie the Pooh and Piglet have been brought to life in Minecraft. Winnie the Pooh will follow players when they have honey and drops honey when killed (Why would you kill Winnie, you monster?). Piglet will also follow players when they have honey and drops pork chops.
Other characters added to the game include various Autobot and Decepticon characters from the Transformers TV show as well as Garfield, Ed, Edd, & Eddy, Tom & Jerry, and characters from “Regular Show”.
Lots of the items that characters drop are new to the game, including Peanuts, Honey, and Krabby Patties. Most of these are simple food items and will boost player’s hunger.
The Toontown Mod adds more than just food to the game. It also adds cool new weapons like Elmer Fudd’s Rifle and the Toon Sword.
There’s also new armor, including Brass Armor which has a unique bright orange aesthetic effect.
New tools include The Tunneler, which is an underground mining machine. There are also a whole range of different Transformers armor pieces and items, including Electric Armor, Armor Chargers, and more high-powered weaponry.
My favorite item, however, is the Electric Pencil, which is a tool that spawns random cartoon characters wherever you point it. Simply point it at the ground, hold down the right mouse button, and see who pops up.
The Toontown Mod is packed with a surprising number of features. It’s just about adding cartoon character models to the game: it adds real, interactive characters who drop unique items, tools, weapons, and more. Players can team up with the new characters or murder them to take their equipment.
Want to trap SpongeBob in a house somewhere? Want to go hunting with Elmer Fudd or access advanced Transformers technology? With the Toontown Mod, you can do it all.
