TooMuchTNT Plugin for Minecraft 1.7.10

Many mods have been made which provide the player with extra types of TNT, performing different functions or simply blowing up more blocks.  TooMuchTNT, however, is a mod that is unique amongst the plethora of TNT mods available in that it allows you to actually customize each individual TNT block’s behavior!

TNT

TooMuchTNT is actually a server-side plugin, rather than a mod.  This plugin was created by Techdoodle of PlanetMinecraft and is still in production.  It is usable in its current state, however.

Currently, there are two commands that come with this plugin.  The first is simple:

/tmtnt get

This command will provide the player with a TNT item which can then be edited.  It is different from a standard TNT, so crafting one out of gunpowder and sand will not work.

The other command has a few different options available which allow for customization.  The base command is:

/tmtnt set

One should be careful when setting parameters for their TNT, and should always backup any world that is not meant to be destroyed.  This plugin can create some very devastating explosions – you have been warned.

A few of the parameters (entered after the word “set”) are as follows:

  • Fuse – determines how long it takes for the TNT to explode.  0 is instant.

  • Power – how strong (far-reaching) the blast is.

  • Scatter_Number – the number of explosions to scatter from the main blast.

  • Scatter_Y_Power – how powerful the scatter is in the Y direction.

  • Scatter_X_Power – how powerful the scatter is in the X direction.

An interesting glitch currently in the plugin is that any TNT placed near the special block will carry the same properties – while this is not intentional, it could be used for some interesting effects.

How to Install TooMuchTNT Plugin for Minecraft 1.7.10

  3. Run the game or server and wait for it to fully load.

  4. Restart your Minecraft game or server, or login to your admin account and execute the /reload command.

  5. Run the server or enter a world again.  The plugin should be properly loaded.

Have you created any incredible explosions with this mod?  Leave a comment with your parameters and I may edit it into the post.  Happy bombing!
