Too Many Items is one of the most popular mods in Minecraft. The Too Many Mobs mod – made by someone totally different – aims to build off the success of the Too Many Items name while also adding a bunch of new and exciting mobs to the game.
There are plenty of mob mods available in the Minecraft community, and this mod is similar to a lot of them. It adds a number of tameable and monster mods to the game, including:
-Bearded Dragon (tameable)
-Whale (drops whale oil and whale bones and is more common than the squid; travels in groups)
-Brown bears and polar bears (attacks almost all mobs, including players, and is not tameable; has a very strong attack)
-Eagle (drops an eagle feather)
-Deer (drops deer meat)
The new dropped items can be used to craft a number of new tools. Eagle feathers, for example, can be used to craft Eagle Wings. While holding an Eagle Wing, players press right click when falling to glide. Whale oil, on the other hand, is a type of smelting fuel that can cook 10 items in a furnace per unit of whale oil.
To tame a Bearded Dragon, you’ll need to use a Spider Eye.
To tame a Platypus, you’ll need to use Raw Fish.
To tame a Monkey, you’ll need to use a Banana.
Calling this mod the Too Many Mobs mod is a bit ambitious since it adds less than 10 new mobs to the game. However, if you’re looking for an easy way to add some new critters and creatures to your game, then check out the Too Many Mobs Mod today.
