Decorating your home in vanilla Minecraft can be difficult. Sure, there are a few different carpets and art pieces available to throw around your home. But really, Minecraft is a long ways away from becoming The Sims.
The goal of the Tiles Mod is to make it easier to decorate the floors of your Minecraft home. Instead of being limited to only carpets for floor decorations, players can now lay out a diverse range of tiles onto their floors.
Just like carpets, these tiles simply go on top of blocks and do not take up any space. Crafting a tile is easy:
-Put 2 blocks of any kind into the crafting table
-This will create 18 tiles using a shapeless recipe
-For grass tiles, you will need 2 dirt and 2 seeds
You can also turn tiles back into regular blocks – simply fill the entire 3×3 crafting window with tiles and it will output a regular block.
Once you have your tiles, you can lay them anywhere in your home.
The best part about this mod is that there’s no restriction to the blocks you can use. You can decorate your home with any types of blocks or materials in the game. You can use pumpkin tiles, for example, to give your home’s flooring a unique orange appearance or gold tiles to make you look wealthy.
Instead of rebuilding your home’s entire flooring, why not just lay some tiles overtop? Thanks to the Tiles Mod for Minecraft, decorating your home’s floorboards has never been easier.
