If you have half a brain, then you probably already know what the Throwable Bricks mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5 does: that’s right – it adds throwable bricks into your Minecraft world.
Bricks can now be thrown to deal 2.5 hearts’ worth of damage to enemy mobs. Bricks are thrown with a right click, and if the brick is only thrown a short distance, it will remain as a brick. However, the farther you throw the brick, the greater chance it has of breaking. There is also a small chance of breaking a brick every time you drop it.
Bricks drop brick chunks when dropped, and those brick chunks can be used to craft a new brick. Just like in real life, throwable bricks can destroy glass and glass panes, and they can also destroy other Minecraft blocks including tall grass, vines, sugarcane, and redstone.
Bricks are also particularly useful at destroying skeletons. When throwing a brick at a skeleton, expect it to do far more than 2.5 hearts’ worth of damage.
More importantly, bricks can be used to blow up TNT. They also have plenty of other uses that aren’t revealed to players in the initial mod description – you’ll just have to throw a bunch of bricks to find out for yourself.
