Recommended this setting

-At least 12 chunk render distance
-Default texture pack, but Sphax works as well.
-Minecraft 1.8/1.8.1
-Adjust your server properties for multiplayer:

Now the map itself can be played in multi-player of up to 8 players, but playing on three or more might be a little crowded as some scenes are small.

The map itself is winter-themed, and has a joyous Christmas decors up and about – there is even a big Christmas tree in the center of the town. Almost all mysteries and suspense are flavor texts – there will be no jump scare here and there, and no time limit.

What makes this map great is its wonderful well-built structures, well-thought out story, and clever puzzles.
