Sword Art Online UI Mod for Minecraft 1.7.10

Developed by TheJackiMonster, this mod changes the vanilla interface into a unique UI found in the animated series Sword Art Online.

SAO UI

Sword Art Online or SAO is a Japanese animated series about a virtual reality video game that trapped its players into a death game. This very popular animated series captured a lot of fans. The above image is it’s original UI in Japanese.

SAO MAP

The Sword Art Online UI mod is currently in its early development, but it has a lot of cool features that are based on the animated series. These features include a friend list, a tracking map, quest list, creating a party, and much more.

Just like the animated series, hostile mobs will also reveal an hp bar floating on the right side of their model.  Similarly, other players will also have an HP bar on their side. Equipment screen is also replaced with a click-based interface that is really cool, but it no way practical.

SAO Minecraft UI

The mod can also be used on servers without the need of installing server-specific files. But mod features such as friend list and group partying will only available when other players install the same mod in their client.

SAO UI

As compared to the default UI, the SAO (Sword Art Online) Interface is less efficient. In order to equip something from your inventory you have to click a button 4-5 times, as compared to the shift+click in the vanilla game.

Overall this mod is not about convenience or giving a “better” UI. However, this mod is for the fans of the animated series, and for those who are looking for a slick interface with many added social features. And the best thing about this mod is its LOG OUT button!
