Runescape is one of the most popular online games ever made. It was wildly successful long before World of Warcraft was around and the MMORPG industry borrowed a lot of central game mechanics from Runescape.
Many of today’s Minecraft players have fond memories of Runescape. Many of those players might even still play Runescape. If you enjoyed playing Runescape and want to give the game a new twist, then I recommend installing the Runescape in Minecraft mod.
This mod brings many items from Runescape into Minecraft. So far, the mod is extremely small and in the earliest stages of development. It’s labeled as being just 5% complete on Planet Minecraft. But hey, you’ve gotta start somewhere.
Here are the items and features Runescape in Minecraft (RiM for short) adds to the game so far:
-Ores, bar, and bronze-rune items
-Runecrafting, fishing, and woodcutting skills
If the mod’s creator gets good support for this mod (and it’s already been downloaded hundreds of times in just a few days), then he may continue working on it. For the time being, the creator has uploaded the mod’s files and is encouraging other modders to complete the project.
