Railways have played a critical role in most modern wars. Thanks to the Rails of War mod, you can bring the thrill of railway warfare to Minecraft.
This mod is all about adding the best warfare trains to Minecraft. Those trains include:
-Wide gauge trains
-And many more
There are also plenty of new train track features, including new types of railway curves, dead ends, split rail lines, and more. This mod is ambitious and is only in the early stages of development, but it has the potential to be one of the best Minecraft railway mods out there.
This mod also offers a taste of history with the addition of Cherepanov’s Locomotive, which was Russia’s first locomotive way back in 1834. It was a copper mine railroad and it has been brought to life in Minecraft along with a quarry tub for the ultimate historic mining railway experience.
Currently, the Rails of War mod does not include recipes. Instead, players simply add the items to the game themselves. This makes Rails of War more of a builder’s mod than a realistic survival mod, but it’s nevertheless a fun way to enhance the railway system in your world.
Here are the Rails of War mod’s features so far:
-Place wide 1524mm gauge track
-Full-size rolling stock trains
-Train track turns with a large radius
-3D track models
-Animations for various parts of the train, including the wheels, engine, pointers, and clocks
-Players can control the speed of trains and reverse trains using the R/F/V keys
-Right-click on locomotives to fuel them with coal
-Couple carts together using a Prybar. Left click on a cart to start creating a click and left click on another to complete the link.
The code for Rails of War was written entirely from scratch and is not based on other railway mods like MC Minecart. It’s an ambitious mod that should get even better with future updates. Stay tuned!
