When you start a new Minecraft game in Survival mode, your first priority is to build a shelter. Shelter is the most basic human need. Well, it’s probably tied with food and water. But you get my point: shelter is important.
With the PortableTent Plugin for Minecraft, you never have to go long without shelter because you can now carry a tent with you at all times. This is a server plugin, not a mod, which means you’ll need to install it on your server using Bukkit.
Here’s how the PortableTent Plugin works:
-Create a tent with a single click
-You can bring a tent anywhere you go by keeping it in your inventory
-Your tent is a place where you can take shelter and survive the night
-Customize your tent and allow other players to build your tent with a single click using tent blueprints
-Pick up tents and move them around by holding Shift+Right Click
-Destroy all placed tents in the server with a single devastating command
-Limit the number of tents per player
-Support for both Factions and WorldGuard
Tents aren’t quite as extravagant as homes. But if you’re out in the wild and need to construct a quick, basic shelter, then you can’t go wrong with a simple tent.
Of course, since the PortableTent mod lets you create different tent blueprints, there’s no reason you can’t build a home for your blueprint and still call it a tent. So really, this plugin can be either a PortableTent mod or a PortableHome mod – it’s totally up to you.
If you’re looking for a cool thing to do with this plugin, consider building a tent blueprint and distributing that tent to all your friends on the server. Then, go on hunting expeditions, put up your tents at night, have campfires, and enjoy an in-game camping experience. The only thing you’re missing is roast marshmallows.
