Pamplemousse Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

In French, Pamplemousse means “grapefruit.” In Minecraft, Pamplemousse is the name of unique texture pack.

What makes Pamplemousse unique? Well, it’s an HD texture pack at a 16×16 resolution. That sounds like an impossible feat: isn’t the point of HD to use resolutions higher than 16×16? Not necessarily, and Pamplemousse proves that it can easily be done in order to create a smooth, clean, and dynamic gaming experience.

Here’s how the texture pack’s author, MrFruitTree, describes the pack:

“The theme of Pamplemousse is based around modern design and architecture, yet it still retains a very traditional style. This allows for creating anything you would like without having to use multiple texture packs.”

Vanilla Minecraft uses 16×16 textures. If your computer runs vanilla Minecraft smoothly but doesn’t have the power to run higher resolution textures, then Pamplemousse is an excellent way to get the appearance of an HD texture pack without the performance hit. It’s great for gamers with low-performance rigs, but even those with high-performance rigs might want to give it a try.

As with all texture packs, the best way to understand Pamplemousse is to look at screenshots:
