In Christian lore, Moses was a man who led the Jews out of slavery in Egypt and into the Holy Land. He did that by parting the Red Sea and walking through the water.
Now, Minecraft players get to enjoy the in-game version of this epic tale thanks to the Moses Mod. The Moses Mod introduces an item called the Staff of Moses which can only be obtained with the help of a Burning Bush.
Once players equip the Staff of Moses, they right-click in the direction of any body of water in order to create a passage through the water. To make this mod even more authentic, dramatic music from the movie “The Prince of Egypt” will play as players travel through the water.
To close the water passage, players simply right click in any other direction. Passages are a maximum of five blocks wide and 64 blocks long, although players can configure these default maximums in the mod’s config files.
The Staff of Moses also comes with some other neat tricks. Players can:
-Hit any stone with the staff in order to create a Source of Water
-Left-click on water to turn it into blood. Left-click again to turn it back into water.
-Part lava with the use of a special Staff of Moses
One of the most mysterious parts of the mod is discovering how to create the Staff of Moses. If you want me to spoil it for you, then keep reading: the staff is not crafted manually. Instead, players need to craft a staff using a stick and then light a bush (anything with leaves) on fire.
To create a Staff of Moses that can part lava, players need to interact with lava while holding the Staff of Moses. This will grant your staff the lava-walking upgrade.
Whether you’re feeling in the mood for a biblical reenactment or just want to cut through a nearby ocean to get to the other side, the Moses Mod is a creative and fun way to play around with Minecraft. To check out this mod today, follow the easy instructions below.
