More Enchants Plus Plugin for Minecraft 1.7.5

Enchantments are one of the best parts of Minecraft.  They give you a reason to level up, protect your hard-earned diamond gear, and of course simply make the game more interesting by adding variation.

This plugin by adam561 increases that variation by adding (so far) ten additional enchantments.  MoreEnchantsPlus is by no means the first mod or plugin to add extra options to the list, but of course each one is different.  This one happens to be my favorite so far.

The enchantments, along with their effects, are as follows:

Swords

  • Poison: inflicts poison status on the player or mob for five seconds when hit.

  • Bone Breaker: mob or player is slowed for three seconds when hit.

  • Wither: hits inflict wither status for five seconds (dealing half a heart of damage every two seconds at level one, cut in half for each level).

  • Ice: inflicts both slow and poison effects on the mob or player.

  • Knowledge Infused: doubles, triples, or quadruples experience points dropped when a mob is slain.

Bows

  • Speed: arrows fly much faster (twice as fast at level one).

  • Fireball: converts arrows into fireballs once they are shot.

  • Knowledge Infused: same function as above.

Tools

  • (Pickaxe) Auto Smelter: automatically smelts any ore that is smeltable upon mining.  Canceled out by silk touch for obvious reasons.

Armor

  • (Helmet) Saturation: prevents hunger bar from depleting.

  • (Boots) Speed Boots: move faster on land – essentially a permanent speed potion.

  • (Chestplate) Knowledge Infused: doubles, triples, or quadruples experience picked up.

Some of these enchantments (such as auto smelter and speed boots) have been done many times before, but are nonetheless good additions.  These enchantments do present interesting new combinations, however.  For example:

  • With Knowledge Infused III on a chestplate and sword, a player could earn 16x experience points (4 times the exp dropped, with each piece granting 4x the value).  Levels 1 through 16 require 16 exp each, meaning that each mob killed will, at minimum, grant one full level for this range.  One standard enemy (such as a zombie) will yield a minimum of 80 exp; the Ender Dragon would yield 192,000 exp.

  • Flame and Fireball on a bow – extreme fire damage!

  • Bone Breaker, Ice, and Knockback II on a sword – the ultimate defensive weapon.  Strike an enemy once and they have no hope of ever catching up to you.

  • Fire Aspect, Poison, Ice, and Wither on a sword – the ultimate damage over time weapon.  On strike could deal well over 30 damage over time.

Enchantments can be gained just like normal enchantments, or through the use of the command /mep (enchantment) (level).  All enchantments, aside from Knowledge Infused, only have one level.

How to Install More Enchants Plus Plugin for Minecraft 1.7.5

  1. Download the latest version of the More Enchants Plus.

  2. Place the .jar file from step 1 into your game or server’s plugins directory.

  3. Run the game or server and wait for it to fully load.

  4. Restart your Minecraft game or server, or login to your admin account and execute the /reload command.

  5. Run the server or enter a world again.  The plugin should be properly loaded.

While there are some awesome enchantments already coded into this plugin, there are endless possibilities.  What other enchantments would you like to see?  I would personally love an enchantment for explosive arrows.  Leave your ideas in the comments below!
