Vanilla Minecraft doesn’t really have an in-game currency system. That’s a problem that many modders have tried to solve.
One of those modders is spartankid, who created the Moneystore Mod 2.0 for Minecraft.
Moneystore Mod 2.0 aims to add a unified currency to the game. That currency comes in the form of dollars in several different denominations. You can harvest in-game resources to sell for currency and become a real in-game millionaire.
Here’s how the Moneystore Mod 2.0 works:
-Silver Ore now spawns underground. It’s not as rare as gold and it can be found in veins of roughly one to ten at layers below 60. Silver Ore can be melted to form Silver Ingots.
-Silver Ingots can be crafted into $100 bills. Or, if you have 9 Silver Ingots, you can craft those into a Silver Block, which unfortunately cannot be used as currency and is merely a decorative object.
-There are now a bunch of different denominations of currency in the game, including penny, nickel, dime, and quarter coins. There are also plenty of new bills, including $1, $5, $10, $50, $100, $500, all the way up to $500,000 and $1,000,000.
-To spend your currency, simply place it into a crafting table. You can view “recipes” in a text file that comes with the mod download. These recipes allow you to turn your currency into various useful items. The text file includes all recipe information and prices.
-All of the items and blocks in Minecraft can now be crafted with money using the Crafting Table.
-If yo’ure lucky enough to have a $100,000 bill, then you can use it to craft a Spawn Block. A Spawn Block provides 100 spawn tickets when mined. Players can spend 4 spawn ticket to get any spawn egg in the game. You craft a spawn egg just like you would craft any object. This is a cool feature that lets players wield an astonishing amount of power over the creatures and mobs in their game. Use this power wisely!
-A $1,000,000 bill is a special item that can be crafted into an Ultra Block. An Ultra Block provides 10 Ultra Tickets when mined. Ultra Tickets give you…something. The mod’s creator hasn’t specifically said what the Ultra Tickets do, and I haven’t mined enough money yet to find out. If you do know what the Ultra Ticket does, then let MinecraftDLs know in the comments section below! Please!
Moneystore Mod 2.0 doesn’t really add a store to your Minecraft world, but it does give you a portable way to turn money into useful items: your crafting table! Gathering resources will now feel more productive than ever before because you can turn those resources into a real live currency. Unfortunately, you can’t exchange that currency for real-world money…yet.
