MineTunes Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

You like music. I like music. And a lot of people like to listen to music while playing Minecraft.

Fortunately, you don’t need a mod to leave your iTunes running in the background while you play Minecraft. You do, however, need a mod to create your own music within Minecraft.

MineTunes can be that mod.

MineTunes gives players the ability to create their own Minecraft music in-game. It uses a MIDI synthesizer to give each block its own unique musical note. The result? You can create your own virtual drum sets in-game or even create entertaining music-based puzzles.

This mod works in both singleplayer and multiplayer modes and adds no blocks to the game. It has an astonishing level of detail and players can enable and disable each individual part of the mod – depending on which parts they want to use to create music.

Once you’ve created your Minecraft masterpiece, you can even save it as a MIDI file.

New MineTunes mod updates arrive every couple weeks. One recent update added a cool voice synthesizer, and the mod’s creator, fenceFoil, is very enthusiastic about his project.

Here are some of the features included with MineTunes:

-Netherrack and endstone have a total range of F#1 to F#7 for piano

-Noteblock Tuner feature which lets players tune note blocks to different notes simply by pressing Shift+W

-Music blocks and notes vary by location; different biomes have different instruments, pitches, tunes, and sounds

-Musical notes also vary by time of day; expect to hear different notes at night compared to the day

-Create songs with other players in SMP

-The ability to add signs to note blocks to create in-game lyrics

Best of all, the MineTunes mod uses a system called MusicStrings, which is a complete music language that lets simple songs be simple. Even complicated songs are extremely simplified, which means you don’t have to be a musical master to play musical masterpieces.
