Minecraft Pre-release, Story Mode, and Notch’s New Mansion

Minecraft Pre-release

Before the Mojang team head off for the holiday season, they made available the Minecraft 1.8.2 pre-release 1 which focuses on bug fixes and performance enhancements. The most important issues that were addressed were the following:

-Mobs no longer follow players as if they are hostile in spectator mode

-Explosion force fixed

-Explosion direction fixed.

Mineacraft Story Mode

You heard it right! There will be a Minecraft story mode coming this 2015! But it won’t be Minecraft – rather it will be a different game about Minecraft and would be available in many devices including Playstation, Xbox, Mac, PC, iOS, and Android devices. It will be a narrative-driven video game that will be created by a different company Telltale Games. Telltale was the maker of the popular games namely Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, and Wolf Among Us.

The Minecraft Story Mode game will be divided into several parts called “episodes”, just like many of the games that the company created. If you are not familiar with their games, check out their website by clicking here.

Mojang is also in collaboration with Telltale to bring you the game as close to the Minecraft gameplay we love and enjoy. The company also claimed that they are NOT trying to create an “official” story of Steve and on how he came to be, but rather it will be something else entirely.

Minecraft 2!?

What’s Minecraft 2 you ask? Well it’s practically a joke on the Info Quest II, and asking it will give you a fish, a potion regeneration 2, a bucket, and a TNT which may be a clue… or just something we should totally just ignore.

Notch’s New Mansion

Notch recently just transferred to Los Angeles, and for some reason there were many talks about it. We may never actually visit his home on our lifetime, but we can always visit his “home” in Minecraft! Talented Minecraft Dan Bovey recreated Notch’s New Mansion inside the blocky game of Minecraft with a pretty accurate model – setting aside Minecraft’s limitations.
