Minecraft Combat Evolved Mod for Minecraft 1.6.2/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

A few years have passed since the Halo series first swept the world into its universe.  The hype has since died down, but it still remains one of the most popular shooters in history.  Modder Lemodes_MC and a small team have created Minecraft: Combat Evolved, a mod that merges the Halo and Minecraft universes.

This mod adds a wide variety of content and features.  The original Halo armor and several variants of it are among the most notable.  Equipping this armor also adds a radar that shows moving mobs in the area, similar to the radar from the game.  An aesthetic helmet overlay also appears at the top of the screen.

Seven new ores are added with this mod:

  • lead

  • zinc

  • titanium

  • fluorite

  • copper

  • nickle

  • tungsten

These ores are used to craft the various armors and weapons in the game.  There are a few different guns available, most of which are fully functional as of this release:

At this time bullets do not appear, but they are on the mod’s to-do list.  A few of the guns that appear in this mod are:

  • SRS99C-S2 AM Sniper Rifle

  • M6G Magnum

  • M392 DMR

  • BR85HB SR Battle Rifle

One of the more interesting and perhaps useful guns is the rocket launcher.

This gun, aside from being extremely powerful and capable of taking out large groups of enemies in a single shot, could also potentially act as a mining tool.

Several other features, such as nuclear warheads, vehicles, and utility blocks, come with this mod.  The list is a bit too lengthy to cover here, and the mod is in active development.  Download it and try it out for yourself, and be sure to check the mod page frequently for updates!
