Minecraft 1.4 has not even been released yet, but already, Mojang has felt the need to release a patch
in order to fix a number of glitches and bugs. The day 1 patch is called Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5, and it fixes a
number of minor problems that players have noticed during their testing of the Minecraft 1.4 pre-
release build.
The full list of changes can be found at the official Mojang website. Those changes include:
-Fixed mobs “suffocating” and falling through wooden floors
-Fixed Redstone Repeaters that would never turn off
-Reduced bat spawn frequency
-Fixed bug that allowed players to place any item in the armor slot
-Reduced the spawn frequency of mob spawners
-And my personal favorite change, “fixed wet wolves looking way too scary”
The release date for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5 will be the same day as Minecraft 1.4., which effectively turns the
Minecraft 1.4 update into Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5.
