Lots of Food Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

Food is an important part of the Minecraft world. Since you’re eating food on a constant basis in Minecraft (and probably the real world as well), the default food choices can get boring after a while.

That’s why a mod called Lots of Food is so popular. With nearly 100,000 downloads to its name, the Lots of Food mod aims to make eating and making food fun again. And since it’s made by a French modder, you just know the food is going to be delicious.

To do that, Lots of Food adds plenty of new food choices, including:

-Pepper seeds

-Chorizo

-Chili con carne

-Pepper chocolate

-Chocolate cake

-Hot chocolate

-Chocolate bread

-Candy

-Chocolate block

-Sandwiches

-Pizza

-And so much more

There are dozens of new foods added to the aptly-named Lots of Food mod, and I can’t list them all here. From juices, teas, and other beverages to totally new food groups – like candy, the Lots of Food one will keep players busy with plenty of new recipes.

Just like in normal Minecraft, the more complicated a food is to make, the more satiated players tend to be. Most foods simply give players food points, but some foods have added benefits. Tea, for example, does not give back food points, but it does clear all potion effects.

Wine and cider, on the other hand, give back 2.5 food and life points but cause the player to be confused for 30 seconds – kind of like in real life.

You can also plant some of the new foods in the ground. For example, you can break a coconut to sometimes reveal a coconut palm sapling. Plant that sapling in the sand to start your very own coconut tree.

If you want to spice up the food creation system with dozens of new foods, then the Lots of Food mod is one of the best food-related mods (if not the best) created by the Minecraft community thus far.
