Left-4-Dead Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.7.10

Zombies!  Police zombies!  Other zombies!  Welcome to the Left-4-Dead texture pack by Magna_rock!

Pictured above is the new skin for skeletons in Minecraft – police zombies!  Clever use of resources, if I do say so myself.

This texture pack is far from complete, but nonetheless it is a fantastic start.  Firstly, it changes the tools and weapons to the iconic ones found in Left 4 Dead:

Aside from the police zombies, creepers and zombies are also retextured.  Some of the more basic environmental elements are actually my favorite parts of this pack, such as the iron door:

And of course the trapdoor as well, which matches thematically:

I am a huge fan of making adventure maps with plenty of indoor locations, so these fantastic new floor, stairs, stone, ladder, and bookshelf textures were a welcome sight:

The floor in particular is fantastic.  Most wooden floor textures do not bring much more flavor than their originals, however this one definitely succeeds in doing so.

The blood splatter and marred wall are actually the cracked and mossy versions of cobblestone.  Once again, an excellent use of available resources!  Can you imagine coming into a room with a spawner in a cave with this pack installed?  I imagine it would be slightly more intimidating.

Last but not least, here is a screenshot featuring some more of the new tree and wood textures added in this pack:

Now that you’ve seen what is already offered, I hope you are as excited about this pack as I am.  The creator, Magna_rock, updates it sparsely, but I get the feeling he or she may update more frequently with some positive feedback and support!  Be sure to check out the download page below, leave a comment, and give this work-in-progress a test run.
