Want more arrows in Minecraft? Check out KK’s Simple Arrows Mod, which adds six new arrows to the game. These arrows include all of the following material types:
As you can guess by the name, the first five arrows listed perform exactly as you would expect them to perform. The wood arrows do less damage than the stone arrows, and the diamond arrows do more damage than gold arrows.
To craft any of these arrows, simply use three of any types of material. That will give you the arrowhead. Depending on which material you use, you can craft anywhere from 4 to 8 arrowheads out of three units of material. Follow the recipes displayed below:
Once you’ve crafted arrowheads, place them into a crafting table with a stick and feather/grass. For whatever reason, the wooden arrows require grass. I don’t think that makes sense from an archery standpoint, but hey, who cares.
Flammable arrows are easily the coolest addition in the KK’s Simple Arrows Mod. Flammable arrows are created by adding one wooden arrow and one piece of paper to a crafting window. You can add as many wooden arrows as you want to the crafting window in order to create multiple flammable arrows.
When you pull back your bow with a flammable arrow, you’ll notice that the arrow lights up the area around you. This can be useful when you’re fighting in dark places – like underground caverns. Flaming arrows deal extra damage to enemies. You will have to have a flint and steel in your hotbar to light the arrow. Another neat feature is that flammable arrows can be fired directly through fire and lava, which is useful if you have some sort of dispenser arrangement.
So why should you spend so much time crafting these luxurious arrows if you’re probably going to miss your enemies anyway? Well thankfully, all of the arrows have a chance to be recovered when hitting a monster. That chance is at 80% for a diamond arrow, while most other recovery chances are closer to 90%.
But my favorite feature is the addition of multiple kills with one arrow. If monsters are lined up in the right way, then you can shoot your arrow through monsters to the enemy behind. Nailing one of these shots is a thrilling experience.
