Ever wish you could encounter a gigantic field of blocks of diamond right on the overworld? Even if you haven’t, user ModdingFanatic has given you the chance to do just that.
Some may feel that it ruins the experience of Minecraft – but let’s be honest, a majority of mods out there today make the game easier to some degree. Better items, easier recipes, in-game utilities – or more accessible materials.
The mod is quite simple; it adds biomes which consist entirely of iron, emeralds, diamonds or gold, all in block form. As with all mods that add biomes, their properties can be customized, so perhaps instead of having these fields in every direction they could be rare occurrences – a jackpot in the vast world of Minecraft (like those Mooshroom biomes I can never seem to find).
For others, this mod can act as a sort of halfway point between creative and survival mode; perhaps you like the challenge of fending off mobs and keeping that food meter full, but not so much the challenge of finding the resources you need to do so. In that case, this may very well be your mod!
