A lot of people had hamsters as pets growing up. If you have fond memories of your pet hamster, then the Hamsterrific Mod for Minecraft is right in your wheelhouse.
Hamsterrific adds – you guessed it! – hamsters to your Minecraft world. The hamsters are designed to be as cute and fluffy-looking as possible.
The maker of this mod is called RazzleberryFox, and that modder actually found Hamsterrific languishing on some obscure Japanese Minecraft forum. The mod had been abandoned for several years, and RazzleberryFox decided to update it to the latest version of Minecraft.
That’s how Hamsterrific came to be. With Hamsterrific, you can enjoy all of the following features:
-8 different hamster colors, including black, white, brown, dark brown, grey, dark grey, “razzleberry” and “taoru” (I have no idea what those last two colors are or if they even exist)
-Hamsters are found in the wild and players can use food to tame their hamsters
-You’ll know a hamster has been tamed when its cheeks have puffed up
-Players can carry hamsters around on their heads by right clicking on the hamster with a piece of paper
-There are hamster balls that let you securely place your hamster anywhere in the world. Hamster balls are clear plastic-looking cases.
Owning a hamster doesn’t really have any benefits. Instead, it’s purely an aesthetic pet that follows you around and acts cute all day. Really, that doesn’t sound so bad.
