Are you the type of person who just adores the old style steam punk technology? If the answer to that is yes, then you’ll love this resource pack showcase for this week!
Created by an artistic individual under the username Glimmar, this resource pack features a sweet and rustic steampunk themed resource pack featuring animated blocks and textures.
This resource pack combines Victorian, Sci-fi, and Steampunk themes and added a touch of the dark ages resulting in a rustic yet unique look.
Many blocks, paints, and items are highly animated to make your Minecraft world more alive and mechanical. This resource pack features turning wheels and cogs, industrial machinery that moves, and over 3,000 textures that can be “connected”.
Because of this features it is not only recommended but necessary to use MCPatcher or the alternative Optifine mod in order to use this pack.
If you use this pack, you will notice that everything is set on an advance Victorian era where steam and mechanical contraptions is an everywhere. Artificial intelligence gave life to mobs – creepers, dogs, zombies, and almost all vanilla mobs are turned into unholy cyborg.
Amazingly, the default Steve character features highly detailed middle-aged man that suits the resource pack very well.
Most blocks are replaced with rusty and metallic textures so you can create steam boats, ships, and buildings based on the theme. It also allows you to create fantastic airship designs as well as brick structures from the old lost world.
Overall, this resource pack is absolutely stunning, especially if you are looking to build retro sci-fi undustrial splendour or contraptions that uses arcane and steam powers like a giant steam-powered beetle – then this resource pack is probably the best there is.
This resource pack is available in 64 x 64 resolution and has just been updated to Minecraft version 1.8 and above.
