The popular GMod game mode is back, this time in the form of blocks and pixels. Many other games have copied this minigame, but most do not succeed. User XDdrummer on the other hand does so with grace and ease. I present to you the Garry’s Mod Murder plugin!
Originally, this game was developed by Mechanical Mind of the Steam community. It has been available for almost a year, and in that time has become one of the most beloved multiplayer maps the base game has to offer.
The rules of Murder are fairly simple. At least two players are required to play, with five to eight being recommended. At the start of each round, one murderer is designated, and one player is given a weapon to defend themselves. The players must work together to take down the murderer. Sound simple?
Without some twist, this wouldn’t be fun – the players and murderer are indistinguishable to all but the murderer. Now it gets interesting: who can you trust? The only one you can be sure of not being the murderer is the one armed with a weapon. But be careful – if you kill off any of the normal players, you lose your right to defend yourself and are at the murderer’s mercy.
If you have not yet had the pleasure to experience the countless hours of chaos and hilarity that comes with this game mode, I highly recommend you do so. It can be installed right on any server and does not directly modify the game in any way.
