Flatham is a map located on a planet called Aramis. It’s an island that is, according to the map’s creator, Lolo500, “very distant from the other regions of the planet.”
Players begin the map as a character called Eldor, who is a warrior from a place called the Imperial Lands. Elder was sent to Flatham in a ship that sailed up the Imperial River at the behest of the king.
What’s wrong with Flatham? Well, the entire island is suffering from an infection. The infection is spreading across the lands and it is feared the infection will soon reach the mainland on the other side of the Imperial Sea. Eldor offers the best chance of stopping the infection, which is why the king sent him.
Lolo500 – who also created the popular Aramis map in the same universe – claims that the Flatham map was inspired by Fallout and the Elder Scrolls games. The map is pronounced ‘Flath-em’ not ‘Flat-ham’, so be sure to get that right.
Just like Bethesda’s own video games, Flatham is designed for players to freely roam around. Players can explore towns, forests, and wilderness to discover all sorts of exciting adventures. Features include:
-Main quests and side quests
-Huge castles, inns, villages, hideouts, and other signs of civilization
-Swamps, caves, lakes, and so much more
It’s recommended that players try out the original Aramis map before downloading Flatham. In fact, Lolo500 considers Flatham to be a DLC for Aramis. If you don’t download Aramis first, you may not understand some of the storyline that occurs in Flatham.
But the most astonishing part of the Flatham map is that it offers 7 hours of gameplay on the main quest line and an addition 30 hours (!!) of gameplay with side questing. That’s a total of 37 gameplay hours for one free map.
If you feel like playing an open-world adventure set in a fleshed out fantasy world, then Flatham is waiting to be discovered. Download it today to see what all the hype is about.
