Vanilla Minecraft tools are good. But do you know what’s better? Extended tools.
Thanks to the Extended Workbench Mod, you can make a new ‘Extended’ tools and weapons. These tools and weapons are stronger and better than their vanilla counterparts and make it easier to defend yourself or harvest resources.
The Extended Sword, for example, causes 100% more damage and is 50% more durable, while the Extended Hoe creates farmland that takes longer to turn back into dirt. The Extended Workbench Mod lets you make more powerful tools, but these Extended tools also cost a lot more to make – so this mod doesn’t completely imbalance the game.
All of the items included in this mod are crafted on an Extended Workbench. Making the Extended Workbench itself is easy. Just make two workbenches and place them on the ground directly next to each other. Right click on the workbench and you’ll see a new crafting window that features a 9×3 crafting grid instead of the usual 3×3 GUI.
Here are some of the items you can make with your new Extended Workbench:
–Extended Tools (pickaxes, shovels, and axes): Mine blocks 100% faster, cause 50% more damage when used as a weapon, and have 100% more durability. Extended tools can also reach 50% further than normal tools. Even better, if you enchant your diamond Extended Tool, you’ll be able to shovel sand and dirt faster than you can in creative mode.
-Extended Hoe: The Extended Hoe has 100% more durability and, when used, creates farmland that takes longer to turn back into dirt.
-Extended Sword: Does more damage (0.5 hearts to 2 hearts more damage, depending on the material used). Extended Swords also have 50% better durability and mine blocks 50% faster than a normal sword.
-Extended Armor pieces: A full set of Extended Armor is available through this mod. These armor pieces absorb more damage and last 50% longer than vanilla armor pieces. Some of the armor recipes fit inside a 3×3 crafting window, although you’ll still need to craft them on an Extended Workbench.
Extended Tools are rendered using different textures, giving them a unique appearance that suits their larger size. If you have a few extra resources lying around and want to create tools, weapons, and armor that last longer and work better, then the Extended Workbench mod is an easy way to do that.
