Damage Visuals Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

Unfortunately in vanilla Minecraft, there’s no good way to see how weak your foe is without looking at their heart rating. Visually, enemy mobs look exactly the same whether they have 1 heart of health or 10 hearts of health remaining.

That’s a problem that the Damage Visuals Mod wants to solve. The Damage Visuals Mod changes the way Minecraft displays weakness. Instead of displaying the same old mob models over and over again, the Damage Visuals Mod adds scars and visual damage to enemy mob models.

When mobs (and players) are hit, they will bleed and show signs of injury. Blood will spray onto the ground and spurt out of various wounds. It adds a bit more realism to Minecraft and, better yet, it works in multiplayer modes.

Since this mod changes some central game mechanics, it may take a little longer to install. Follow the detailed instructions below and you should have no trouble getting this mod to work on the latest version of Minecraft.

If you want to see enemy mobs visually weaken in front of you, then this is the mod for you. You’ll never have to look at enemy heart ratings again. Yes, it’s gory and bloody, but not nearly as gory or bloody as most of the games made today. It’s the best gore and blood mod Minecraft has.
