What’s so special about flying? You can already do that in creative mode. Well, yes, that is true, but the DaFlight mod by dags_ of minecraftforum.net provides a better experience and more than just flight.
Regular flying, as supplied through vanilla creative mode, is available through this mod. But the real fun comes with true 3D flying. With this enabled, as the description suggests, you will feel like you are actually flying as if you were in some kind of aircraft.
The keybindings for this mod are fully customizable, allowing you to takeoff, land, speed up, and slow down. Also through liteloader, you can manually adjust all settings related to flying.
DaFlight also offers the option to change your player’s running speed and jumping height. This sprinting option is turned on by pressing a toggle key, similar to flying, so if you decide that you want to return to normal speed for a while you don’t even have to navigate through menus. Also like flying, you can set custom values for sprinting speed through liteloader:
Finally, a “FullBright” option also exists. To be honest, I’m not sure what this has to do with the other content of the mod, but it is still useful. Toggling FullBright will light up the blocks in the area so that you can see in the dark without a light source.
How to install DaFlight for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5
Download and install LiteLoader.
Download the latest version of DaFlight from dags_’s forum thread.
Hold Windows key and press R to open the Run… dialog, or go to Start > Run.
Enter %appdata% and navigate to your .minecraft/mods folder.
Drag and drop the .litemod file downloaded in step 2 into this folder.
So basically, this mod makes you feel a little more like Superman. The super jump appeals most to me; I sort of want to try to jump over a mountain. Comment below and tell us how you will use this mod!
