Fans of the Final Fantasy franchise would definitely find this mod amusing. ChocoCraft adds chocobos in Minecraft, I bet you thought chocolates right?
What is a Chocobo?
A Chocobo is a giant ride-able bird (comparable to ostriches in size) that inhabits Square’s Final Fantasy worlds. And with this mod, a wide variety of chocobos will inhabit the world of Minecraftia.
Mod Features
This mod adds several colored chocobos in game. Different colored chocobos have different attributes, skills, and rarity.
Chocobos are good for three things: Transportation, food, and storage. These mobs can be killed – dropping their meat in the process, they can also be tamed and saddled so players can ride on them, and lastly they can equip extra bags for mobile inventory storage.
Chocobos will spawn in the wild and are naturally afraid of human contact. In order to approach a chocobo safely and increase the chance of taming them, you can equip a chocobo costume that can be crafted using chocobo feathers.
Wild chocobos can be tamed using Gysahl Greens – an orange radish looking vegetable – that grows naturally on forest and plain biomes. You may also plant and farm Gysahl Greens by using their seeds.
You can tame and breed chocobos to get a rarer color. Rare colored chocobos have special abilities like flying, extra jump, super speed, and more.
Baby chocobos, no matter what their color, are called chicobos which will in time, grow into wild chocobos of their own. These chocobos will inherit the colors of their parent chocobos or will rarely mutate into a different color of higher rarity.
This mod also adds various items and blocks related to these new birds such as chocobo saddles, saddle bags, golden gysahl, gysahl cake, straw, chocopedia, and much more.
