Blokkit – Living Blocks Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

If you haven’t already had a heart attack from the adorableness in the screenshot for this mod, you might have what it takes to fully explore BlueCube’s pet raising mod, Blokkit.

Basically, this mod allows you to take ordinary materials (such as dirt) and make extremely adorable living blocks that will follow you around, help you fight, or just look cute.  Some even have special abilities.

So far, seven Blokkits exist, all of which are created by surrounding redstone dust with a material:

  • The Grass Blokkit, who you met already; this one’s special ability is being the most adorable out of all of them.  Created with dirt blocks.

  • The Wood Blokkit, whose special ability is getting set on fire.  Take care of it!  Created with any kind of wood (not planks).

  • The Stone Blokkit, who strikes fear into the hearts of all.  Created with cobblestone.

  • The Iron Blokkit, who tries really hard to be frightening, but just does not succeed.  Created with iron ore.

  • The Gold Blokkit, who grows up too fast.  Created with gold ore.

  • The Diamond Blokkit, who is just fancy.  Created with diamonds.

  • and the Glowstone Blokkit, who acts like a super adorable lantern!  Created with glowstone dust.

Blokkits can also level up by fighting mobs that are attacking or have been attacked by the player.  The Gold Blokkit will level up faster than any other.  Their stats increase little by little with each level, and at level 5 you have the option to evolve by giving it a gold apple!

When Blokkits evolve, they have a chance to become bigger, and a smaller chance to become huge.  This does affect their stats.

This mod is still in its early stages and may have some bugs.  Similarly, it is likely to expand quickly.  Make sure to check back for updates – including the planned “treasure chest Blokkit”!
