Minecraft comes with a range of different biomes. Biome files are saved using the Anvil format. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to find a program that can edit Anvil files.
That’s where Biome Painter 1.6 comes in handy. This tool can be used to edit biome information in Minecraft save files. It can easily edit any Anvil file, allowing players to change all sorts of information about biomes.
Players can load a specific region, then erase certain sections of the map by simply highlighting and right-clicking. You can choose to fill that blank region with new biomes or environments.
Using Biome Painter 1.6, players can combine biomes together to create a more dynamic environment. The interface for Biome Painter can seem a little intimidating at first, but it doesn’t take look to get the hang of it. If you’ve used other world generation tools, then you’ll find that Biome Painter is based on a similar principle.
After editing a biome with Biome Painter, it will automatically be loaded back into Minecraft’s folder. The changes you’ve made will appear in any new biomes.
