Playing Minecraft in multiplayer servers can be an awesome gaming experience. Unfortunately, connection problems and server errors can weaken this experience.
That’s why so many players like the Auto Join Mod for Minecraft. The Auto Join Mod makes it easier to join public servers. When players get disconnected from a server, Auto Join Mod will continue pinging the server until it sees a slot available. Once a slot is available, it will attempt to join the server.
If you cannot reconnect to the server, then the Auto Join Mod will continue pinging the server until you can. In the settings menu for this mod, you can adjust the length of time between pings (one second by default). These settings are also accessible directly from the config file in your ping folder.
The minimum ping delay is .1 seconds. The creator of this mod recommends lowering the ping delay to .1 seconds only if you seem to have trouble connecting to servers (i.e. you’re missing open slots when they are open).
This mod is also smarter than your average mod: some servers (like MineZ), reserve 5 or more slots for admins, which means that these slots are always registered as full. You can change the JoinOffset setting in the Auto Join Mod’s GUI to -5 in order to get past these sneaky servers and enter the server automatically even when it appears to be full (although you will still likely get kicked if an administrator hops on).
If you like to play Minecraft on popular servers and don’t want to deal with the hassle of constantly checking the current number of players in that server, then the Auto Join Mod is an excellent way to solve this problem.
