The Assassin’s Creed series is one of the most popular video game series in the world today. Assassin’s Creed takes players to a wide range of locales, including the Middle East during the Crusades, Italy during the Renaissance, and America during the Revolutionary War.
But now, a talented Minecraft modder is taking Assassin’s Creed players to a place they’ve never been before: Minecraft. That’s right: there’s an Assassin’s Creed map for Minecraft. And that map, appropriately, is called Assassin’s Creep.
The Assassin’s Creep map is an open Parkour map in the style of the Assassin’s Creed games. The objective of the map is to find all 9 wool blocks. Wool blocks are obtained when players achieve certain objectives.
Each objective includes a floating block with a unique color, and at the end of an objective there is a wool block in that color. This helps players remember which objectives they’ve already completed.
Once players have collected all 9 wool blocks, they can enter the final dungeon. Along their journeys through the map, players are also challenged to collect hidden features, including 3 hidden diamonds, and 9 ‘wanted posters’.
The map comes with simple rules: players must play on peaceful and they must not break any blocks or place any blocks. Players are also not allowed to use mods, although they can use single player commands to change the time of day. The map also includes a texture pack which is highly recommended although not required.
