Your armor is the only thing separating your Minecraft player from the dangers of the Minecraft world. As such, it’s important to pay attention to that armor’s durability over time.
If you don’t pay attention to it, you’re going to get stuck in a fight while wearing limited protection. And that’s obviously never a good thing. Unfortunately, checking the status of your armor from the inventory screen can be a pain, leaving many Minecraft players wondering why that information isn’t just included directly on the screen.
That’s exactly what the ArmorStatusHUD Mod adds to Minecraft. The ArmorStatusHUD Mod adds a Heads Up Display (HUD) that lists the durability ratings of all your currently equipped armor items as well as your equipped weapon or tool.
Here’s a list of all the features currently included in this mod:
-Displays the durability of all equipped armor and held items
-Configurable damage tiers show different colors; colors change as items and armor are used
-Displays how many arrows are left for your bow
-Configurable alignment on your screen
-Ability to hide certain armor piece information and move the HUD around your screen for optimal placement
-When armor durability drops below a certain threshold, the HUD will begin flashing, indicating that it only has a few more uses left
This mod is very useful. It doesn’t break your game – it just displays information you already know in a more readily-accessible way. That’s a good thing, and this is one mod you’ll wonder how you ever went without.
