Don’t like people swearing on your Minecraft server? Trying to create a kid-friendly environment? Tired of kicking trolls and people who swear a lot? Then you need the AntiSwear Plugin.
The AntiSwear plugin is a server-side mod that applies a simple chat filter to your game. This chat filter censors banned words and warns players twice (by default) before kicking them.
Admins create the list of banned words themselves and can modify all different plugin commands.
To add a new swear word to your blacklist, simply type /antiswear add [word]. To remove a word, type /antiswear remove [word].
This plugin is simple but effective. If you’re sick and tired of seeing people swear their chat boxes off in your server, then the AntiSwear plugin is a great way to prevent that from affecting your server.
Of course, some people also choose to use this plugin to avoid annoying chatter. If you’re sick and tired of people mentioning “hacking” or “griefing” or “Notch” on your server, then you can filter out those words and clear your mind.
You can also choose how many warnings players get before being kicked. You can choose to instant-kick with each offense, for example, or give anywhere from 1 to a million warning messages.
When swears appear in the chatbox, they’re filtered out. The offending word is replaced with “snip” or the word of your choice (you can set it in the configuration file).
Whether you use the AntiSwear plugin to filter out swears or miscellaneous chatter, this is a useful plugin that helps prevent lots of headaches for server admins.
