Alvoria’s Sanity Texture Pack for Minecraft 1.6.4/1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5

Alvoria created the Alvoria’s Sanity Texture Pack because she (he?) was tired of the default Minecraft textures.

Specifically, Alvoria disliked how the vanilla Minecraft textures were inconsistent from one texture to the next. Items like food, for example, are intricately detailed, while other items are flat, boring, and lifeless.

In the words of Alvoria herself, “it was driving me crazy so I thought I’d make this pack to return to Sanity.”

That’s why this texture pack is named Alvoria’s Sanity. Whatever works, I suppose. The goal of this texture pack is to get as close to a realistic look as possible while still maintaining the same 16 bit pixelated charm of Minecraft. Unlike many other texture packs, Alvoria’s Sanity Texture Pack does not require other mods like MCPatcher, making it very easy to install.

There is lots to see and experience with this texture pack. Here are some of the best and most noticeable improvements:

-Amazing looking explosions

-Better lava textures

-New mob and pet textures

-Dozens of new blocks, terrain pieces, and more

Alvoria’s Sanity is an excellent way to retool vanilla Minecraft without boosting its graphics or ruining the vintage charm. There are new colors, textures, particle effects, and more. It’s a great way to refresh your game – especially if the vanilla Minecraft textures are driving you as crazy as they drove Alvoria.
