3D Damage Indicator for Minecraft 1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5/1.7.9

Sometimes, simple is better.  This plugin by Eclozion adds a 3D Damage Indicator to Minecraft that functions for players and mobs, both hostile and neutral.

Most novice players don’t really worry about exactly how much damage they are doing.  Stone is stronger than wood, iron beats stone, and diamond makes you feel less awful for killing sheep since you don’t have to chase them around.  This is enough for many players – but if you are like me, you like to see just how much damage you are doing to each enemy.

As shown in the screenshot above, the damage is shown as a bubble that floats above the mob.  Although I haven’t tested it, this should theoretically work with healing as well.  It is a simple addition to the game, but one that makes stat junkies like myself a little happier.

How to Install 3D Damage Indicator Plugin for Minecraft 1.7.2/1.7.4/1.7.5/1.7.9

  1. Download the latest version of Eclozion’s 3D Damage Indicator plugin.

  2. Place the .zip file from step 1 into your server’s plugins directory.

  3. Run the server and wait for it to fully load.

  4. Restart your Minecraft server or login to your admin account and execute the /reload command.

  5. Run the server again.  The plugin should be properly loaded.

Can you think of any other simple plugins that would make the Minecraft experience more enjoyable?  I would personally like to see a plugin that displays a 3D representation of what players are currently crafting in their inventories or on a crafting table.  Leave your ideas in the comments!
